QUICK GUIDE TO LASHING BLONDE & REDHEAD CLIENTS

Guide to Lash Extensions for Blonde and Fair Lashes

Working with clients with fair and blonde lashes can be challenging yet rewarding. You can deliver stunning results that boost their confidence with the right approach!

Step 1: Consultation

Begin with a detailed consultation to understand your client's desires. Discuss their preferences, routines, and previous experiences to set realistic expectations. If your client has very light-colored lashes, it might be hard actually to see their natural lashes with the eyepatch one, so we recommend putting blue, pink, or black tape on top of your eyepatches. Some lash artists like to tint their natural lashes black before starting, but we do not recommend this as the tint makes their lashes less porous and smoother and more challenging for the extensions to grab onto, meaning they will fall off quicker.

Step 2: Choose a shade of Brown Lash Extensions

Use brown-colored extensions for a softer, natural look that blends seamlessly with fair lashes, avoiding harsh contrasts. There are various shades of brown, so pick one that matches your client's lash color or is a bit darker.

Royal Lash Monte Carlo Tip: Match with their eyebrow color for best results.

Step 3: Choose Classic or Lighter Volume Lashes

Classic or lighter volume lashes are ideal for fair lashes, adding length and fullness without overwhelming them.

Step 4: Layering Lashes

For a denser look, apply extensions beneath and above natural lashes to conceal fair lashes effectively.

Royal Lash Monte Carlo Tip: A lash mirror ensures seamless coverage and prevents chemical burns.

Step 5: Select the Right Curls

Depending on your client's preference, B or C curls offer a natural lift, while D or L curls provide a dramatic effect.

Step 6: Consider Reduced Coverage & Opt for Shorter Lengths

Opt for 80% coverage instead of 100% to help extensions blend naturally with fair lashes.

Choose extensions slightly longer than natural lashes for a subtle enhancement.

Royal Lash Monte Carlo Tip: Use clear lash glue like The Forbidden City for a flawless blend.

Step 7: Eyelash Extension Aftercare

Educate clients on aftercare, including regular infills and daily cleaning with a lash shampoo and brush.

Step 8: Boost Client Confidence

Show before and after photos to reassure clients of their stunning transformation. If they are used to black lash extensions, they might feel like these are too light for them, reassure them that they will get used to them and contact you in a couple of days to let you know how they feel. Tell them to ask their friends and family members for their honest opinions; chances are they will agree that the more natural-looking color would be better for them.

By following these tips, you’ll provide clients with fair and blonde lashes, and the beautiful extensions they desire, enhancing their natural beauty!
